Uses for the Tree Shear Attachment

The tree shear attachment allows you to clear downed trees quickly and easily. It has multiple uses, including cutting a tree down, trimming a standing tree, pivoting the shear from inside your cab and cutting the tree into sections, picking up sections of the tree, and carrying them away.

This powerful tree shear attachment features standard rotation and the largest cylinder and porting of any tree shear available. The larger porting and valving allow the flow of your machine to increase the speed of your cut.

It can cut hardwood trees up to 14” in diameter in one cut and larger softwood trees. The steel blade can use 70,000 pounds of force for a clean cut. This attachment can rotate up to 110 degrees after the cut, which allows the shear to act as a grapple to lift and carry the fallen tree. The serrated teeth-edge designs allow you to hold the tree securely in place during the cutting cycle, allowing the focus to be on cutting the tree.
